BooBoo, Books and Boring

Yo Piggies! Any of you ever get SO BORED you could just bite something? Well, there I was, waiting and waiting for Maggie to get off the darn computer. She had finished brushing me about five minutes before (well it SEEMED like longer) and I was getting quite bored so I was nagging Maggie to pay some attention to me.

I was standing under the computer countertop and I nagged and nagged and pushed Maggie's feet, and I gronked and I groaned and I even rested my face on the rung between her feet. Still no answer. So I nudged and nuzzled and sucked on her toe and I pestered and squawked and pushed on her leg. Maggie was busy doing bookkeeping (who would want to keep them, anyway, they're much more fun if you just rip them up) and she just gave me a little wee shove with the side of her foot and said "Don't!, I'm busy". Well, you know me, I didn't want to take "Don't!" for an answer so I sideswiped her a little one. Maggie said "Don't!!!!!" in a big voice and moved me away with her bare foot. I reacted without thinking and gave her another swipe and just a teeny tiny touch on her ankle with my teeth. Next thing I knew Maggie had given me such a shove against the wall that I fell over and she said "DON'T!!!!!! KNOCK IT OFF YOU BRAT!" in a VERY serious voice and held me down with her foot till she was sure I got the message.

YIKES! Talk about an over-reaction! I'll NEVER do THAT again! So, there I was, laying on my side with this chubby foot holding me down. I could barely breathe cause Maggie's foot weighs as much as a baby hippo. What was I to do? I thought I'd better not move for a minute and finally Maggie put her foot back on her stool and I stood up and Maggie said "Good DON'T".

I knew I did a big booboo so I went over to Maggie and gave her foot a little lick and a soft nudge and when I saw she wasn't going to knock me off my feet again I said "huhhuhhuh" and ever so softly nummed on her baby toe, which she likes. She knew I was saying "Sorry, Maggie". Maggie petted me and told me she loves me and that we were still friends. I learned my lesson - "Don't mess with Maggie....pester all you want, but NO TEETH, NO, NO, NO!" Maggie kept on with her work and I lay down on the carpet and eventually (it MUST have been at LEAST 20 minutes) she got off the stool and took me out to the garden for a stroll.... finally.... at last... oh...on another subject .....

Do your parents ever read to you? Every time I write a story Maggie reads it out loud to Bob and the silly dog, Dax. That is such a drag.... I always gronk and squall and try to drown her out, but she keeps on starting over and sometimes I could just SQUEAL I get so embarrassed! Bob always tells me what a good girl I am for writing another story, and I can hardly stand the fuss he makes over me, but it's better than listening to Maggie drone on and on. I wish she would just stick to SINGING.... it's SO much easier on the ears!

Eep! I think I just heard the dinner bell. Now THAT'S MUSIC TO THE EARS!
