Adoption Record
An adoption
record is a great thing to have and a great thing to look back upon. It is good
to memorize the Patient Identification number and the Chart number. It will
save time in any event of a crisis. The tending veterinarian can quickly pull
the chart and place it on the examination room door bin, and prepare the room
while you are in route. In most cases the tending veterinarian's receptionist
has to enter your piggies name into the system and make sure she spells it correctly
and conduct a search to get to your pigs medical records which can take time.
It also helps you help them if their system fails for whatever reason. If you
change Doctor's you will get a new chart number and a new patient identification
number so make sure you update it. It makes good measure to photocopy it and
tape it to the lid of your first aid kit also in case you have a petsitter so
he or she has access to all of your piggies information.
